January 12 to 14

The Santa Cruz Fungus Fair will be at the Louden Nelson Community Center, 301 Center Street, in Santa Cruz. Enjoy displays of local mushrooms and fungi, speakers, cooking demonstrations, and activities for children. The fair will be open on Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 (general), $5 for seniors (60+) and students, and free for children under age 12 with an adult admission.

Guitar virtuoso Andy Hackbarth performs at the Los Gatos High School Theatre, beginning at 2:30 p.m. This performance pays tribute to the father of classical guitar, Andres Segovia. Tickets are available online at www.lgcca.org, or at the door ($25 general, $20 for seniors, and $5 for students).

Monday, January 22
The mountain-area 55-plus program will visit NUMU, the New Museum of Los Gatos, at 106 E. Main Street in Los Gatos. We will meet at 10:15 a.m. in front of the museum for a docent-led tour beginning at 10:30 a.m. After our tour, we’ll enjoy a no-host lunch at Pedro’s, 316 N. Thursday, January 25
The Stoney Mountain Ramblers will perform a benefit for the Loma Prieta Education Fund at the Summit House Beer Garden and Grill, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The restaurant is located on Highway 17, just south of Summit Road.

Saturday, January 27
